At the end of May the MN State Association of Narcotics Investigators (MSANI) held its annual training conference.
During the formal awards ceremony the Central MN Violent Offender Task Force, of which I was the Commander, was awarded an outstanding achievement award for a federal investigation that lasted from 2014 until 2017.
We worked closely with the MN BCA, the FBI-St. Cloud Field Office, and the Stearns County Attorney’s Office. The investigation was long and on-going, and covered several states all the way to the West Coast. This collaborative effort was the result of hard work by numerous very good investigators. As such, multiple pounds of methamphetamine were taken off the streets, and up to 22 people involved were arrested and/or charged.
As your Sheriff I would continue these efforts to reduce the amount of drugs hitting our streets and would I will continue to support these types of multi-agency cooperative investigations and efforts. As is always my philosophy and as proven here, I am an advocate for working with others to “get the job done!"
