St. Cloud, Minn. - Steve Soyka, candidate for Stearns County Sheriff, released the following statement in response to the Sartell City Council unanimously approving bonding for the new public safety center.
“This is a great example of local officials coming together to deliver results that will help make Stearns County a safer place. The new public safety center will house the police department and the fire department in the same building. This will improve communication and collaboration between these two departments, and will make it easier for our public safety officers to do their jobs.
“As Stearns County Sheriff, I will explore different ways for the Sheriff’s department to continue to collaborate with different agencies on these important development projects. It’s important that our agencies work together to make sure that our citizens are as safe as possible.”
