Meet Steve

Steve Soyka For Sheriff Stearns County

Steve Soyka has dedicated 27 years of his life to law enforcement in the state of Minnesota, including serving as Commander of the Central Minnesota Violent Offenders Task Force. Now, Steve is taking the next step in a lifetime of service to Stearns County by running for Sheriff.

Steve was born, raised, and educated in Stearns County. He attended Cathedral High School and St. Cloud State University, graduating with a degree in Criminal Justice. As a believer in giving back to the community, Steve is very active in a number of organizations across Stearns County. He is currently a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Granite Lodge 17 where he serves as Vice President.  Steve is a member of St. Stephen church.


When he is not working, Steve enjoys golfing, working on his old cars, boating and spending time at his cabin in the Brainerd Lakes area.
